The Big Reds defeat the Clippers; get set for Pella rematch

CENTERVILLE, IA — The Centerville Big Reds advanced to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs on Monday after they defeated Clear Creek-Amana, a rematch from last year's substate game, by the final score of 30-16.
Tanner Susin once again was an integeral part of the Centerville offensive push, carrying the ball 25 times for 202 yards. Susin broke the plane three times during the night.
Speaking of rematches, Centerville will play Pella on Friday—the last game before the playoffs head to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Ia. on November 16. Pella came to Centerville earlier this season, only to lose in overtime when Centerville went for two following their touchdown to take the win.
Now the Big Reds will head to Pella's house on Friday.
Ethan Moorman was injured and had to be helped off the field during the win. The specifics of the injury or his status for the Pella game is unknown. Moorman, who plays often on both sides of the ball, was unable to put pressure on his legs.
The injury came in the fourth quarter as Moorman was attempting to sack the Clippers's quarterback. The team gathered around Moorman after the game to congratulate him.
Moorman has scored eight rushing touchdowns and has run for 718 yards in 118 carries heading into Monday night's game.
With the win, the 2009 Centerville football team because the first team in school history to go 11-0.
